Welcome to Put-in-Bay’s Grout House
on Lake Erie

Put-in-Bay’s historic Grout House overlooks Middle Bass Island, Gibraltar Island, and Put-in-Bay’s downtown harbor from its more than two acres of Lake Erie shoreline.

Relax in the shade, or sunbath, in the comfort of an old fashion island Adirondack chair on the cliff overlooking the Bay, and islands. Entertain on the Grout House’s recently renovated front porch that features two covered porticos for dining, and for enjoying a lazy morning,  afternoon reading, or just unwinding.

The Grout House has a modern kitchen, a large enclosed side porch that features a large dining table that seats 8 comfortably for eating and entertaining.

The living room overlooks the large front yard and Lake Erie, has a big screen TV, and comfortable seating on two large leather sofas.

The spacious main floor master suite offers a lake view with private access to the right front porch portico. Enjoy a kingsize bed along with a beautifully appointed en-suite bath featuring a large walk-in shower and double vanity.

You’ll find three more bedrooms on the second level, each with a queen bed, beautiful bedding, and in rooms surrounded by large windows, summer breezes, and enchanting sunlight. The home has three full baths.

This is the island home that will leave you with fond memories of your Put-in-Bay vacation for many years to come. And, once you experience a weekend, or week, at the Grout House, you’ll be back again for a leisurely stay on South Bass Island.

The Grout House is located on peaceful East Point, about a mile walk from downtown Put-in-Bay. There is plenty of parking for your entire family, and the Grout House is perfect for a summer family reunion.
